The formwork system used for concrete to be poured piece by piece in order to reach the targeted height in single or double face curtain systems is called climbing formwork system. Climbing is done with a console.

Materials required for a set of climbing consoles;

The following operations are performed when installing the formwork in systems where the climbing formwork system will be used;

1: While the first mold is being set up, the carrots are oiled in sufficient numbers horizontally, leaving a space of 25 cm from the top of the mold, generally at 245 cm intervals (the spaces are narrowed according to the curtain thickness), and mounted to the mold with carrot screws, then the mold installation is completed according to the procedure. Note: Oiling the carrots is necessary for easy removal from concrete.

2: After the poured concrete gains sufficient strength, the carrot screws are removed and the mold is removed.

3: Screws and knobs are mounted on the carrots in the concrete to reach the next height.

4: Climbing consoles are hung by attaching to the knobs, and the consoles are fixed from the bottom and top with the help of pipes and movable clamps. In order to be able to walk on the consoles, planks are thrown over them.

5: The mold installation process in the first step is performed on the consoles. After the poured concrete gains sufficient strength, the mold is dismantled, the consoles are removed, the carrots are removed with a wrench and prepared for the next process.

6: These steps are repeated to reach the targeted height.
